Tjaden Tromp took his first steps in karting, starting his remarkable motorsport journey at a very young age. Like all aspiring drivers looking to make it in the competitive world of motorsport, he had to prove himself every step of the way.

Trompie, as he is affectionately known, competed in both two-stroke and four-stroke karting, representing South Africa at the 2022 and 2024 Tillotson T4 Nations Cup in Spain.

The young Kempton Park resident transitioned to circuit racing as soon as he legally could, joining the Formula Monoposto grid for the 2022/23 seasons. While quickly making a name for himself, he remains the youngest driver to compete at the iconic Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit in Johannesburg. In 2024, Trompie continued his single-seater career after debuting in the DOE Formula Vee Association Championship, finishing as the runner-up.

In 2025, Trompie, backed by Pretoria North Toyota, Solergy and Man vs Machine, will again compete in the DOE Formula Vee Association Championship.
